I came to see Don Giovanni last year and though it wasn't technically the best I've seen it was the most fresh and intuitive opera performance I've seen, and as such the most entertaining and enjoyable too (suited Bangkok perfectly). My friends who have never been to opera before loved it too. Hope I can still get tickets for Mae Naak, this time I'll try to get some Thai friends to see it too!

Dear K Watanee,

We have a wonderful student discount of 50% on most tickets. However, as we have had a tough time controlling student IDs etc., we ask that if anyone wants a student discount they should book directly with the Bangkok Opera (02) 661-4688-9.

If the booking comes from a school and there is a group from the school, the discount covers the whole group including teachers, and includes, when time permits, a backstage tour.
